Scudder Taylor Oil uses a computer system that calculates your fuel usage based on the weather outside using a degree day system. Automatic customers qualify for a 5 cent discount per gallon if they pay within 10 days.
Scudder Taylor Oil recommends that you schedule a clean and tune annually. Not only does it keep your system running more efficiently, but it can prevent break-downs during the colder months. Our annual clean and tune features a new nozzle, filter and strainer, brushed and vacuumed boiler, test all safety controls, and a complete efficiency test.
BioHeat® is regular heating oil blended with 2-5% Biodiesel. Biodiesel is a renewable energy resource that is made domestically from fatty acids found in soy and vegetable oils, recycled restaurant oils, and other natural sources. BioHeat® burns cleaner, produces fewer emissions, and can extend the life of your equipment. For more information, please visit www.bioheatonline.com
Degree day monitoring is a system used to calculate how much oil you use based on the temperature outside. The average temperature is taken for the 24 hour period, for example 28° F. That is subtracted from 65° F, to give you a degree day of 37. The higher the degree day, that more fuel you use.
